The concept of Sushibar + Wine was born from a simple realization.
We saw that while sushi and Scandinavian aesthetics come from different parts of the world, they were, in fact, made for each other. This union was sealed by a third element: organic wines from independent producers. By combining these seemingly disparate elements, something truly unique was born.
Our first Sushibar + Wine opened its doors in 2009, and today we serve our customers at four restaurants in Helsinki. We’re proud of our high quality – our handmade dishes, crafted from fresh ingredients, along with our carefully selected wines, create a unique and harmonious culinary experience. The aesthetic of our spaces is rooted in the timelessness of Artek’s Aalto series, and our tableware primarily consists of Marimekko designs.
We’re committed to reducing our environmental impact and helping our customers make more environmentally friendly choices. For us, the environment, ecology, ethics, and sustainable development aren’t just words – they’re matters of the heart. We’re proud of our collaboration with WWF and our Ekokompassi certificate, which was awarded for our long-term sustainability efforts. Additionally, we offset our carbon emissions through the Southpole organization.
